Program Roster API
We have created an Application Programming Interface (API) to the member database from your event registration site/page. The purpose of the API is to pass information from the USASF member database to your system for programs that have registered for your event(s).
What can the API do?
- Import current season’s divisions from the USASF member database into the event producer registration system
- Import program’s rosters from the USASF member database into the event producer registration system
How does this API work?
- Once your developer has completed the integration of the API onto your online registration system, a link will be added to the team page within your system.
- A USASF program will be able to click that link (ie. Import USASF Roster) and start importing their team roster into your system.
- The import process starts by requiring the program to enter their USASF login credentials first to confirm they are an eligible member of the USASF.
- Once their credentials have been verified, their team roster will load from the USASF Member Site and import to your current registration system.
NOTE: The Program will need to use their USASF profile to build their team roster and then schedule your event to their team first. Then they can login to your online registration system to import the USASF data saved within their team’s roster.
How do you go about obtaining this API?
We have a process set up for each event producer to obtain the API form the USASF. Once received, you will need your site’s developer/programmer to install the API into your site/registration page.
The following is an overview of the process to request, obtain and integrate API:
- Event producer sends USASF API access request
- USASF reviews request
- Upon approval, the USASF sets up and sends the event producer’s API permission
- Event producer sends the API info to their online registration developer
- Developer integrates the API and sends any question to USASF
- Developer uses the USASF’s test environment to test API integration
- Once integration works successfully, developer uploads the integration to event producer’s live registration website
- A link will appear on the registration page for member program to initiate import of team roster
Let’s get started!
Click here to complete the API request form.
Once you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email. Then we will get to work in sending out the API documentation.

Resources for Rules and Safety
Below is information, updates and resources to ensure you have a great event season. A lot of this information may be helpful to your judging/ scoring coordinators so please share this with them as well.
Per USASF Sanctioning Guidelines, all event producers are required to have at least one USASF Cheer Certified Legality Official on-site at all sanctioned cheer competitions and at least one USASF Dance Certified Legality Official at Dance Worlds qualifying events.
The link below is a confidential link for USASF Event Producer use only. Please do not share with others outside of your company. The link is to a list of all fully certified Legality Officials.
This list will be updated regularly as we have many officials who have passed the test but have not completed their background check or abuse prevention training. As soon as they complete the requirements the list will be updated.
Instructions: Associating Legality Officials to Events

Exceptional Athletes
The USASF Committee for Exceptional Athletes has created a sample score sheet as an option for event producers to utilize for Cheer/DanceABILITIES. The committee also put together resources as a great starting place for coaches as they work with athletes with special needs, and we’re including it here as recommendations for event producers.
This information is not intended to be fully inclusive of all considerations for working with people with special needs. Members should further consult doctors and/or other professionals for advice regarding additional concerns that might affect a program for athletes with special needs.
