PreSeason Rally

The USASF has created a fun, preseason, competition-style challenge for cheer/dance athletes where they will be ranked/rated against other teams across the country while safely social distancing. Three rallies will be held between July and September and are open to all USASF Member Athletes of the 2020-2021 season β€” for FREE! Requirements

CHEER

  • Jumps
    Minimum of 2 connected jumps
    Maximum of 4 8-counts
  • Dance
    Maximum of 8 8-counts
  • Standing Tumbling
    Maximum of 4 8-counts

DANCE

  • Leaps
    Minimum of 2 connected leaps
    Maximum of 4 8-counts
  • Turns
    Minimum of 2 connected turns
    Maximum of 4 8-counts
  • Dance Combination
    Maximum of 8 8-counts

Teams must have 5 or more members and athletes can choose to participate in one, two or all three of the rallies for Cheer and/or Dance. Tiny, Mini, Youth, Junior, Senior, Open, CheerABILITIES and DanceABILITIES are all welcome and tumbling levels 1-7 will be ranked. The more teams in each rally the more that will be ranked online.

Rankings & Ratings

All Rally rankings and ratings are based on difficulty and technique.

CHEER

  • All teams can choose to ranked with comments.
  • The top-ranked teams will be announced on the USASF website and on social media.
  • The top three ranked teams will receive a digital badge to display.
  • There will be no scorecheck or explanation of ranking provided to participants.
  • The participation in the Preseason Rally does not count toward D1 or D2 status.

DANCE

  • All teams can choose to be rated with comments.
  • Teams receiving a Gold rating will be announced on the USASF website and on social media.
  • Teams receiving a Gold rating will receive a digital badge to display.
Submissions

All videos will be submitted using the following link: https://usasf.formstack.com/forms/rally2020

  • Follow the 10 Easy Recording Tips found in the submission link.
  • Prior to completing the submission link, upload your video submission to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.. You will provide that link in the submission above. Be sure that the video and/or link is NOT set to private so that we are able to view your submission.

Prior to performing athletes will be asked to provide the following information (athlete information will be verified):

  • Name
  • Date of birth

Submissions must be compliant with the Athlete Performance Standards, which are found in your Member Resources, in order to be considered for ranking/rating.

Videos will be ranked/rated by division and optional feedback may be provided. Top rankings (cheer teams) and  Gold Ratings (dance  teams) will be recognized on USASF social media platforms. Best of all – It’s FREE!
