Program Roster API

We have created an Application Programming Interface (API) to the member database from your event registration site/page. The purpose of the API is to pass information from the USASF member database to your system for programs that have registered for your event(s).

What can the API do?

  • Import current season’s divisions from the USASF member database into the event producer registration system
  • Import program’s rosters from the USASF member database into the event producer registration system

How does this API work?

  • Once your developer has completed the integration of the API onto your online registration system, a link will be added to the team page within your system.
  • A USASF program will be able to click that link (ie. Import USASF Roster) and start importing their team roster into your system.
  • The import process starts by requiring the program to enter their USASF login credentials first to confirm they are an eligible member of the USASF.
  • Once their credentials have been verified, their team roster will load from the USASF Member Site and import to your current registration system.

NOTE: The Program will need to use their USASF profile to build their team roster and then schedule your event to their team first. Then they can login to your online registration system to import the USASF data saved within their team’s roster.

How do you go about obtaining this API?
We have a process set up for each event producer to obtain the API form the USASF. Once received, you will need your site’s developer/programmer to install the API into your site/registration page.

The following is an overview of the process to request, obtain and integrate API:

  • Event producer sends USASF API access request
  • USASF reviews request
  • Upon approval, the USASF sets up and sends the event producer’s API permission
  • Event producer sends the API info to their online registration developer
  • Developer integrates the API and sends any question to USASF
  • Developer uses the USASF’s test environment to test API integration
  • Once integration works successfully, developer uploads the integration to event producer’s live registration website
  • A link will appear on the registration page for member program to initiate import of team roster

Let’s get started!
Click here to complete the API request form.

Once you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email. Then we will get to work in sending out the API documentation.

Athletes 1st

As part of the USASF’s Athletes 1st initiative, the leadership team put together simple “tip sheets” to assist event producers and parents in thoughtfully posting pictures and video of All Star athletes. We’re raising awareness about online risks for youth and equipping members with resources from the experts in child protection to protect our youth. Please share the Parent Tip Sheet with teams that attend your events. Please utilize the Event Producer and Affiliate Members Tip Sheet with your employees and volunteers. Together, we can establish All Star as a leader in youth sports for the education, empowerment and protection of our youth.

Athlete Protection Program

Partners in Protection:

As providers of platforms for children and teens, there is an inherent responsibility to create safe environments in which they will compete and have fun. At events, real threats and risks exist, not only for the athletes in attendance, but also for those that invite and provide platforms for these athletes. As part of our all-encompassing approach to Athlete Protection it is imperative you understand your obligation in the prevention of minor abuse. It is also important to understand that minor abuse encompasses cyberbullying, physical, sexual, verbal, emotional abuse, harassment and sexual exploitation.

As your partner in All Star, we have created this quick reference guide for you to build upon in order to provide a safe environment for athletes that participate in All Star while attending your events. Our goal is to provide tangible prevention measures for every aspect of the All Star experience.
